Rehearsals for the 1st week of the fall season are Monday (8/17)and Thursday (8/21) from2:45pm to 5:00pm.
Our monthly Coventry Band Parent Association meeting is this Monday (8/17/2026) at 7pm in the CHS Band room. We hope to see you there!
The game this week is at Girard. Below is the schedule for Friday. This is an earlier than normal call time due to the long drive to get to Girard. Please plan your time between the end of school and the call time carefully so you are not late!
Game Details
Location: Girard Arrowhead Stadium, 200 S. Highland Avenue, Girard, OH 44420
Game Night Schedule
- Leadership Meeting in Auditorium – 3:45 pm
- Call Time for everyone – 4:05 pm
- Section leaders report attendance and flip folders – please check that each person in your section has their flip folder with the stand tunes in it. Everyone MUST have their flip folder in the stands.
- Equipment to Trailer – 4:10 pm
- Load Trailer/Put Uniform On – 4:15 pm
- In Band room seat (uniform inspection/stretch/warm-up) – 4:30 pm
- Load bus – 4:40 pm
- Depart CHS – 4:50 pm
- Arrive and unpack at Girard – 6:00 pm
- Game begins – 7:00pm
- Approx. return to CHS – 10:45 pmI will send a message when we are about 20 minutes from home. Please don’t park in the bus loop to wait for your child. Doing so will make it difficult to unload the trailer and buses safely.
Uniform
We will wear the full uniform for this game. This includes: Dinkles (they must be clean), black socks (calf/knee high without other markings), athletic shorts, 2026 Coventry Band T-shirt, Uniform Pants, Uniform Jacket, shako (hat), and white gloves (1st pair provided with uniform). Additionally, your hair should be neatly up so that it can fit inside the shako and stay up when the shako is not on. If you’re not sure, ask a veteran member. Piercings need to be removed, replaced with something clear, or covered with a skin colored bandage. Bandanas, sunglasses, etc. are not a part of the uniform and points and/or 3rd quarter free time will be lost for not wearing the correct uniform. Once your uniform is on, it is to stay completely on unless a director tells you otherwise, this includes the shako and gloves.
Guard, Mr. Ballog will communicate with you about uniform expectations.
Grade/3rd Quarter Freedom/Performance Eligibility
Please note that since the beginning of the school year is upon us, you do received a grade for marching band performances and rehearsals. Your grade for games is a reflection of you being present, on time, in the correct uniform, having all required things for the performance, having your music checked off, etc. Failure to meet these expectations will result in the loss of points for your grade, 3rd quarter freedom privileges, and/or performance eligibility.
