The students of the Coventry High School Marching Band traveled to Medina High School on Saturday, 11/6/2021, where they performed at Ohio Music Education Association’s (OMEA) State Marching Band Finals (SMBF) for only the 5th time in school history!
The students of the Coventry Band performed incredibly well and represented the school and community of Coventry to the highest degree. The students’ performance at 2021 OMEA SMBF was a direct reflection of their hard work, dedication, growth, and desire to be their best throughout the entirety of the 2021 marching band season.
The 2021 season was truly incredible and one that students, staff, parents, and supporters of the Coventry Band will remember for years to come. The Coventry Band received an overall rating of II (Excellent) at States this year, matching the rating the it has received in its four previous appearances at OMEA SMBF in 1981, 1982, 1984 and 2018. This is a very high rating and receiving such a rating is an honor and a direct reflection of the excellence that the Coventry Band continues to embody!
Go Comets!!
