Next week is Band Camp week which is our week of rehearsals from 8am-4pm. Please read this update carefully for general reminders as well as details for 2023 Band Camp.
Lunch for Band Camp Week
The students are provided lunch each day during the week of band camp. Menu items will include the following main items throughout the week:
- Sub Sandwhiches
- Meatballs/Mac & Cheese
- Tacos
- Pizza
- TBD
In addition to the main item, we are asking that the following items be donated to add to lunch each day.
- Individual bags of chips
- Fruit – watermelon, apples, oranges, etc.
- Bags of shredded lettuce
- Salad dressing
- Cookies/Cookie Trays
- Cases of water
If you are willing to donate any item, please sign-up here. Any donations can be delivered to the MS with your students when they come to band in the morning.
Concession’s Volunteer Sign-up
The concession stand is our largest fundraiser. Please sign-up to help in the concession stand during the fall 2023 season. There are soccer games as well as football games.

Physicals
All students participating in marching band are required to have a current physical submitted on FinalForms. Physicals are good for 13 months from the date of the doctors signature. If you/your student does not have a completed physical exam, please get one scheduled ASAP. Students without a current physical exam will not be permitted to continue participating in marching band until one is complete.
Final Forms
Please submit a copy or picture of the physical exam on FinalForms. Additionally, all students must have updated emergency contact information on FinalForms and join the “CHS All Year Coed Marching Band.” In emergency situations, the contact info on FinalForms will be used to reach parents/guardians.
Shoes
If you are in need of marching shoes for the season, I would encourage you to get the ordered ASAP. Call or go to Taylor Band, tell them you’re with the Coventry Band and that you need marching shoes. They will help you get them ordered. If you go to the store, I believe they have some for you to try on so you make sure they fit. You’ll need shoes for picture day (August 10). The shoes usually take about 2 weeks to come in once you order them, so you’ll want to order them soon.
Black Shorts
Everyone will need a pair of plain black shorts to wear for our Parent Summer Preview. If you don’t currently have a pair of black shorts, please get them so you have them for August 4th.
