3. Music Recording for Student’s Practice
Students: I have made and posted the recordings of each individual instrument with a metronome. They can be found on the 2022 – Phoenix Rising page. If you don’t remember the password, please send me a remind and I will send it to you.
Please make sure you/your student are getting the physical taken care of. This is a new requirement for this year. More info as well as the downloadable PDF document are available in the previous posts: coventrybands.com
5. Summer Schedule
Rookies and Leadership team report on July 12th and 14th from 8:00am-11:00am. Wear school appropriate athletic clothing and closed toe shoes. Bring water, sunscreen, and flip folder!
Everyone else begins reporting on July 18th from 8am-12pm. We continue with rehearsals throughout the summer beginning on the 18th. Wear school appropriate athletic clothing and closed toe shoes. Bring water, sunscreen, and flip folder!
A reminder that attendance at all rehearsals and performances is required. If for some reason you are going to miss something you must take the following steps:
- Communicate with directors at least two weeks in advance about the conflict
- Complete the Absence Request Form. It can be found here: https://coventrybands.com/marching-band/
- Provide the directors with a reminder at least two days before your absence.
Work is NOT considered an excusable reason for an absence. Other school sanctioned events will be worked out so that both events can be attended equally. Any absence from a rehearsal or performance could result in the lowering of the students grade and/or effect performance eligibility.
I am very much looking forward to this marching band season and the beginning of the season. Keep enjoying your summer and make sure you are practicing a bit!
