Summer Calendar and Schedule
This calendar has been shared, and posted many time throughout this spring. Please see the Schedule of Events page on this website. This page automatically updates with any schedule changes, and I would encourage you to check the calendar frequently. I would also recommend you sync this calendar to a google account and then your electronic device so that you have quick and easy access to it at all time. You can sync the calendar by clicking the “+” in the bottom right corner of the calendar on the “Schedule of Events” page that is linked above. Coventry Local Schools will be utilizing a program called FinalForms beginning the 2022-2023 school year. This is an online program that manages and streamlines paperwork for the school and families. Each band student will need to have their emergency medical form and physical form submitted on FinalForms before they can actively participate in summer marching band. For further details about final forms, please see the home page of the schools webpage: https://www.coventryschools.org If you or I do not have access to the program by the summer, I will require paper copies of both documents.

Beginning this coming season (Fall of 2022) it will be a requirement that all students participating in marching band will be required to complete a physical before they are permitted to participate in marching band. If you are interested, the school is hosting an event on June 15th 2022 where students can get a physical completed for $25. To purchase a “ticket” to the event, please use this link: https://coventryathletics.org/event-tickets and purchase a ticket for the June 15th event. This is the only cost for a physical at the school event. If there is a preference to get a physical exam elsewhere, it will need to be completed by a certified examiner and submitted to the school before the beginning of the marching band season. Below you can download the physical form that Coventry and Ohio High School Athletic Association uses for physicals. If you go to your own health care provider, they may have their own form.
Band Website and Post Updates
I am working very diligently to make sure that I update this website as often as possible. Please make it a point to check this site regularly for updates. It is also a great place to start if you have questions. You might find your answer here. If you can’t find the answer you are looking for, please send me an email.
You can “subscribe” to these blog post updates on the home page of the website by entering you email under the “Follow the CHS Bands via Email.” You will receive and email every time I post one of these updates.
If you have not already done so, please join the remind for next season. Remind is a communication platform that makes it easy for me to send out quick reminders and updates to specific groups of people (students, parents, or both). It is important Please see the following attachment for details on joining the group.
Payment 2 – July 1st 2022
The second Disney payment is due on July 1st 2022. This is in the middle of the summer, so please make yourself a reminder. I will send a reminder about the payment when we get close to it. If you have questions about the payment process, please see this page. If you still have questions, let me know through email and I will be happy to help.
Remind for Disney Trip
Please join this remind group to receive updates and reminders about the Disney trip. This will also be the main form of communication while we are on the Disney trip in the spring of 2023.
Attached is a PDF that explains the band fees. The Coventry Band Parent’s Association (CBPA) will send out invoices with a due date in the summer and at the beginning of the band season. Please not that the band fees have been reduced from past years. The CBPA is doing its best to be mindful of the money it collects from students and making sure that it is all spent on the students in meaningful ways.
