It is with great pleasure and excitement that I get to announce that we have hired our new Assistant Marching Band Director for the 2020-2021 school year! This individual has helped our band program over the years by serving as a woodwind tech and volunteer with the marching band in 2018, teaching private lessons, and has been a substitute teacher in our district.
She is a fantastic musician and a wonderful educator! I know our students are really going to enjoy getting to work with her again.

Here is a short bio so you can learn more about Miss Kinsey:
Lacey Kinsey is a graduate of Dover High School and The University Akron. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education. While attending The University of Akron, she performed in the Symphonic Band, “Ohio’s Pride” The University of Akron Marching Band, Jazz Band, and various chamber ensembles. Miss Kinsey was also active in student organizations including The Undergraduate Band Staff, Game Day Staff, Kappa Kappa Psi, Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association, and the Northeast Ohio Clarinet Association. During her final semester, she student taught in the Jackson Local School District.
