Assistant Marching Band Director and MB Staff

Hello everyone:

I am very excited to announce the marching band staff for next season! After a few rounds of interviews and meeting with multiple candidates, we have decided to hire Mr. Nathan Fete as our Assistant Marching Band Director. Nate is a native of Massillon, Ohio and a graduate of Perry High School and The University of Akron. He did his student teaching at Medina High School and has been a staff member at Perry, Coventry, Medina, Ellet, and Chagrin Falls. Nate is a fantastic trumpet player, pianist, and music educator. We are very lucky to have him on staff!

Mrs. Marissa Hughes will also be joining our staff for the summer. Marissa serves as the band director for Miller South School of Performing Arts. She is a graduate of Firestone High School and The University of Akron. Mrs. Hughes’ students and ensembles have had much success at OMEA sanctioned events and the bands at Miller South have continued to grow under her leadership. Marissa will be spending time helping our woodwinds and working with the entire ensemble on the field.

Sadly, Mr. Cummings and Ms. Kinsey will not be returning this season. Best wishes to both of them as they further their careers. You both will be missed!

We are very fortunate to have Mr. Eder, Ms. Rook, M.J., and Marley all returning as well. The staff is eager and ready to make PATHOS an amazing show!

Again, remember that all band and guard members need to be at CHS for rehearsal on July 15th. Rehearsal begins at 8a (not after). We will be gathering in the theater to start the day and will break off from there. Keep resting, practicing, and continuing to enjoy your summer. See you soon!
